A meteor, 150 feet across, hit this spot in Arizona (near Flagstaff) about 49,000 years ago and left this crater 3/4 mile across, 575 feet deep, and with a rim of 148 feet high. It was like setting off 20 million tons of TNT! Impressive, and I am sure a great money maker for the guy who found it and now owns it. But we didn't have to pay a fee. :)
Rick tipped the wing for the close up shot.

Retirement brings on the bucket list! Rick has always wanted to take his home built plane (took 7 years to build) across country, and now he has the time to do so. Let's just hope this doesn't trip take 7 years! So we are leaving Monk behind and following the path less traveled.
